Fixtures Living, Experiential Showroom Experience

Indicating just where the next phase of in-store retail may be headed, Californian kitchen, bathroom and outdoor brand Fixtures Living’s award-winning new showroom in Costa Mesa spotlights a potentially exciting, experiential-based future.

Conceived by UK design consultancy Fitch, the consumer-focused 21,000 sq ft showroom aims to highlight individual tastes and personal visions of the home – allowing consumers to experiment in order to feel out their purchases.

Customers are greeted in-store with a freshly brewed cup of coffee and engaged in conversation about cooking or bathing preferences to help put them at ease, before being encouraged to wander freely around the showroom and test out products.

Explore and play are indeed the key design attributes – never less than in the unprecedented inclusion of three fully functional experience labs, including a private spa/shower room, an ultra-modern demonstration kitchen, and a patio area.

Most extraordinary perhaps is the area dubbed The Sanctuary – a lockable, teak-lined house that sits in the middle of the bath area, in which consumers are actually able to shower.
