Milan 2012: Raw Edges for Mutina

Italian ceramics company Mutina marked its debut at Milan 2012 with an exclusive collection of tiles designed by London-based design duo Raw Edges.
Tex – Raw Edges’ second project for the ceramics company – is a multicoloured tile collection inspired by the textures of textiles. Rhombuses in shape, the textured tiles are aligned together to create a ‘fabric’ of texture. Each colour range comprises three different shades, allowing for arbitrary arrangements of the tiles and direction of the texture.
Mutina's booth at the Fiera convention centre was specially designed by Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola, showcasing Mutina's renewed corporate identity and look to affirm its status as a "non-traditional tile company". See Mutina’s previous designer collection Pico, created in collaboration with French designers, the Bouroullec brothers.
