Net-a-Porter: T-Commerce

Luxury online retailer Net-a-Porter has launched a digital television station in the US enabling customers to watch programming and shop. The business is believed to be the first fashion business to launch its own transactional television programming.

Net-a-Porter TV comprises four stations – Runway, Who’s Who, Trends 101 and Flashbacks.

Initially broadcasting in the US, the station is set to launch globally via Google TV-enabled Sony TVs and Blu-ray players, as well as the Logitech Revue set-top box.

Net-a-Porter TV will roll out to other digital platforms, including iPad.
