Hotel Missoni, Kuwait

Capitalising on the strength of the luxury market in the Middle East as well as the beauty of the Persian Gulf, Italian fashion house Missoni will open its second hotel (the first opened in Edinburgh, Scotland in June 2009) in Kuwait on March 1.

Designed by Glasgow-based communications agency/interior design collective Graven Images, Hotel Missoni will extend the brand’s philosophy throughout an entire lifestyle space.

The 169-room hotel features signature Missoni prints and bright colours, with prominent accents of turquoise, acidic green and gold throughout. It will offer guests a 360-degree, state-of-the-art luxury experience, offering iPads for quick check-ins, Bang & Olufsen TVs, meeting spaces, a gym, steam room, sauna and pool deck overlooking the city.

If that wasn't enough, it will also feature ‘Magic Mirrors’ in each bathroom that can be converted into TVs.

The 1,500 sq m Six Senses Spa will offer beauty and relaxation for stressed travellers, while two restaurants and a café will provide refreshments and top-rated cuisine.

The Hotel Missoni brand is part of the Rezidor Hotel Group, and is due to open new sites in Cape Town, Oman and Turkey within the next two years.
