Jumeirah's Hotel of the Future

United Arab Emirates hotel group Jumeirah has unveiled a design for the hotel room of the future, based on ideas generated by the company’s followers.

The project was put together at the recent non-profit TEDx event in Dubai. The programme aims to give organisations and communities the chance to discuss and engage with ideas in an open forum.

Suggestions included an underwater hotel, a room that floats in the clouds with invisible walls and ceilings, and a hotel on Mars. Artist Zanjeer Salam then converted these ideas into digital form, producing a 4m canvas displaying images of Jumeirah’s hotel of the future.
