Hel Yes! Stockholm

Finnish pop-up restaurant Hel Yes! is back. Hailed as a highlight of London Design Week in 2010, the concept eatery is setting up shop in a special space on Skeppsholmen Island for this year’s Stockholm Furniture Fair.

Founded by restaurateur Antto Melasniemi, artist Klaus Haapaniemi and designer Mia Wallenius, Stockholm’s Hel Yes! will focus on the social aspects of gathering to eat.

In preparation for the opening, the creative team worked with Finnish choreographer Kenneth Kvarnström and his dancers at the Helsinki Dance Company to incorporate dance movements into the experience. Melasniemi says: “There's no distinction between the dancers and the waiters. We're trying to create a logical entirety with the audience being a part of it – more of an event than a performance.”

Hel Yes! runs from February 7-11 2012.
