Carine Roitfeld for Chanel

Last month, Carine Roitfeld – French Vogue’s ex editor-in-chief – sated the fashion world's curiosity regarding her next move by announcing a collaboration with US luxury store Barneys, styling its catalogue and shop windows.

Now, following in the footsteps of her successor Emmanuelle Alt, Roitfeld has collaborated with Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, styling the label's Autumn/Winter 2011-12 campaign, fronted by current face of Chanel, Freja Beha Erichsen.

Lagerfeld is also due to shoot the Fendi A/W 2011-12 campaign next week, and is currently making a movie to be presented in tandem with the next Chanel cruise collection, which will be launched in Antibes in the south of France on May 9.
