Global online publication The Next Web is conducting a global search for the next Facebook or Twitter.

The competition aims to raise awareness of global technology start-ups and give them the tools they need to reach global customers by inviting entrepreneurs from 36 cities around the world – including Nairobi, Buenos Aires and Moscow – to pitch ideas.

Teams entering the competition are competing to be crowned ‘The World’s Best Startup’, winning $330,000 worth of prizes, including a three-month incubation period in Silicon Valley, US.
