The Creative Business Cup

Creative Business Cup

The Creative Business Cup (CBC) is a global initiative celebrating entrepreneurship and innovation. Each year in November, CBC's partners hold events in countries around the world to showcase and award the most creative regional start-ups and entrepreneurs. Stylus has partnered with CBC ahead of the next event in Copenhagen.

"Start-up thinking" is becoming increasingly embedded in businesses in every industry. Consumer attitudes and behaviour are constantly evolving in reaction to volatile world events, and brands need to be able to market at the speed of culture. As such, a more agile approach to product, design and marketing is absolutely vital for brands to maintain a competitive edge.

Over the past few years, we've seen this trend manifest in different ways. Brands from Target to the BBC to Unilever have used in-house incubators and hackathons as a way of encouraging more experimentation. Other businesses have embraced a start-up-influenced "beta" approach to retail and engagement, such as UK bank NatWest's Project Living initiative, as detailed in our Beta Brandscapes report. And of course we've seen a wave of investment from established brands into the very companies hoping to disrupt them – from Disney's investment in Vice, to the New York Times' investment in The Skimm.

This start-up-driven shake-up of business strategy offers huge opportunities for brands in every industry. Join us at the Creative Business Cup event in Copenhagen, November 20-21, to find out more. Click here to purchase tickets.
