Tcherassi Designs Hotel

Renowned Colombian fashion designer Silvia Tcherassi has joined forces with CF Hospitality to create the Tcherassi Hotel and Spa in Cartagena, Colombia.

Tcherassi has translated the concepts of her past fashion collections into the design of her namesake hotel. The 250-year-old colonial mansion, located in the heart of Cartagena’s old city, boasts just seven unique rooms, including a large suite, all featuring unique fabrics used in her previous catwalk collections.

The rooms feature high ceilings, rich wood floors, private balconies and large open bathrooms. Guests also benefit from a 40-seat Italian restaurant and lounge overlooking a vertical garden with more than 3,000 local plants, four pools and a roof deck with 360-degree views of the city and the sea.

Tcherassi’s venture follows in the footsteps of several notable fashion houses, including, among others, Armani, Versace, Christian Lacroix, Ralph Lauren, Moschino and Missoni. The latter recently opened its second fashion house hotel in Kuwait, and is due to open new sites in Cape Town, Oman and Turkey within the next two years.
