Gucci’s Brazilian Flagship

Sao Paolo’s Cidade Jardim Mall has arguably become the most exclusive shopping destination in Brazil, with the opening of Italian fashion house Gucci’s first Brazilian flagship completing its luxury line-up.

The shopping mall now boasts five of the world’s most covetable fashion brands, with French labels Hermes, Chanel and Louis Vuitton sitting alongside Italian brands Prada and now Gucci. As well as stocking womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and accessories lines, the new store (Gucci’s third in Brazil) will also sell the Pantanal collection, developed exclusively for the (rapidly growing) Brazilian market.

Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini was instrumental in developing the store’s architectural concept, which features large open spaces flooded with an abundance of natural light. Luxurious materials such as marble and rosewood have been incorporated, alongside glass, tinted mirrors and polished gilded metal, to evoke the rich aesthetics of the Art Deco era.
