The Present Colour Clock

Designed by Brooklyn-based creative Scott Thrift, The Present is an annual clock that displays the seasonal passing of time through subtle changes in colour gradients. Marking out the peak of each of the four seasons with a distinctive colour – white, green, yellow and red – the clock’s hand takes a full 12 months to complete a single rotation.

Released as a Kickstarter campaign – a website that enables start-up businesses to crowd-source funds – the project has already raised more than double its $24,000 funding goal. The Present is due for release in February 2012.

Thrift is a member of the collective M ss ng P eces, a group of artists, designers and strategists working in New York.
