Swarovski Scholarship Programme

Extra

Austrian crystal jewellery brand Swarovski is to provide a new three-year scholarship programme in collaboration with Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London.

The scheme will provide financial support for two final year Bachelor of Arts (BA) students – one from fashion, one from jewellery design – for their final year projects, as well as mentoring them to realise their future potential. Candidates will be selected by a board including Swarovski’s creative director Nadja Swarovski, and the Fashion and Jewellery Design BA course directors at Central Saint Martins.

The first recipients of the Swarovski scholarship are fashion design student Scarlet Tull, and Australian-born jewellery design student Stephanie Bila. In addition to the scholarship scheme, Swarovski has also donated a Rofin laser welder to Central Saint Martins’ Jewellery Future Room, located in its new £200m campus in Kings Cross. The scholarship’s launch marks the 10-year anniversary of a close relationship between the jewellery brand and the college.
