Yago Hortal’s Acrylic Blends

Berlin-based painter Yago Hortal blends brightly coloured acrylic paints in swirling, unpredictable patterns to create beautiful abstracts, bursting with colour and vitality.

His technique involves pulling several colours of paint across the canvas, allowing it to merge and pool seemingly randomly. Hortal’s work is on display at CCA Andratx in Mallorca as part of Space Oddity, an exhibition exploring art, space and their intersections until September 4.
