The Leela Palace Unveiled

The Leela Palace, Delhi’s first purposefully designed hotel for Gold Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification, has opened in the affluent district of Chanakyapuri.

Designed to reflect the architectural style of Lutyens’ New Delhi, the Palace offers luxury combined with state-of-the-art technology. The emphasis is on on tradition, elegance and space, with the smallest room measuring over 500sq ft. The hotel also features a 6,500sq ft ESPA spa, a rooftop infinity pool, a whisky and wine bar, a tea lounge and four restaurants – The Qube, Jamavar, Le Cirque and Megu.

Every aspect of the design, including vapour absorption machines, rain-water harvesting, solar energy application and a sewage treatment plant address the need for sustainable development and environment conservation.
