Nick Knight for Hermes

World-renowned photographer Nick Knight has produced luxury label Hermes’ Autumn/Winter 2011-12 campaign. Borrowing palettes from the fashion brand’s patterned garments, Knight’s video interpretation of the pieces incorporates a painterly aesthetic.

Rich colours such as red and ochre are blended together alongside moving models, creating a fluid aesthetic that blurs forms into swathes of hue.

The technique used is similar to that explored in the Stylus report Colour in Suspension.
