Survival Coat

Veronika Scott, from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, has embarked on a quest to help some of the 32,000 homeless people on the streets of Detroit.

Scott has created a hybrid coat that turns into a sleeping bag. Made of wool and Tyvek, the Element S(urvival) Coat is sponsored by apparel company Carhartt and is available from December. All proceeds go towards Scott’s Detroit Empowerment Plan.
