Lanvin’s ‘Super luxury’ Clothes for Children


Alber Albaz, artistic director of French fashion house Lanvin, will be launching the label into the high-end children’s market, presenting its first “super luxury” children’s line alongside its mainline Resort Collection in June.

Catering exclusively to girls, the collection will consist of 25 pieces, sized for ages four to 10. It will include T-shirts, dresses, sweaters, coats and accessories.

Lanvin executive Thierry Andretta emphasises the aspirational nature of the upcoming collection, explaining that “[in regards to Lanvin's children's line] we really want to stay in the luxury world”. He suggests the line will offer a similar aesthetic as the women’s ready-to-wear collections and will employ only the highest quality fabrics, with price points at approximately 10 times the market average.

The range will be sold in Lanvin boutiques as well as select wholesale outlets from late November 2011.
