Sydney’s Cara & Co. Concept Store

Moscow’s lifestyle concept store Cara & Co has opened its first store outside Russia in Sydney, Australia. Located in the city’s Westfield Shopping Town, the museum-like retail space stocks everything from women’s fashion to gadgets, books and even a restaurant (at night) serving up – particularly unusually –Flemish cuisine.

Designed by Cara & Co’s creative director Alexey Oleshov, the store is split into distinct areas, each acting as a curated exhibition of products and services.

The store design is just as eclectic as the product mix. It features industrial, art deco and renaissance styling, as well as an eye-catching zigzag window at the front, filled with rotating art and fashion installations. At night, a transparent metal curtain operates as a tunnel, transforming the space from a store by day into a restaurant at night.
