Madrid Christmas Lights by Teresa Sapey

Each year, Madrid’s city council commissions a designer to create a festive lighting display for the city’s streets. This year the task was given to Madrid-based architect and interior designer Teresa Sapey, originally from Italy.

Her striking geometric design brings colour to the grey streets of Calle Serrano – a high-end shopping street in Madrid. Each circle in the design is unique, formed by a variety of LED colour and pattern combinations.

As well as allowing for flexibility in colour, LED lights are also a more energy efficient option, consuming less energy than conventional lights.
