Liquefaction: Kate Shaw

Artist Kate Shaw creates landscapes and images associated with the natural world using paint and collage techniques. Her latest exhibition, Liquefaction at the Nellie Castan Gallery, Melbourne, showcases her expert use of colour and texture in her most recent works.

Deliberately using unnatural colours, Shaw plays with colour to create unnerving palettes that abstract the landscapes she depicts – swirling hues and soft gradients are key.

The exhibition continues until August 13 2011.
