The Madison Hotel’s Social Media Butler


Washington hotel The Madison is offering guests the services of a personal social media butler as part of a package to mark US president Barack Obama’s upcoming inauguration.

Victoria Devine of Washington-based social media marketing firm Anchor Media will play the role of social media butler and will be on hand to record the guests’ inauguration experience via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. Guests will be able to control the frequency and content of the status updates and can choose to have their social media pages updated with posts and images.

As well as a dedicated social media butler, the $47,000 Inaugural Town and Country package will include a four-night stay for two in one of the hotel's presidential suites, a private car and driver, a tour of the city, a $5,000 shopping experience at Brooks Brothers and a couple’s massage at Virginia's Landsdowne Resort.
