Bulled LED Lightbulbs

German lighting company LEDO LED Technologie GmbH has created a series of three retrofitted LED bulbs that match the size, shape and brightness of incandescent bulbs while only using 85% of the energy.

Named Bulled, the aluminum bulbs have 11 individual dimmable LED modules that create the same illumination as a 60-watt incandescent bulb while only giving off 11 watts. In contrast to the cool, white temperature giving off by recent energy efficient white lights, the colour temperature of Bulled is 2800K, allowing the light to look very warm and natural – recapturing the glow the incandescent once provided.

Resembling the original shape of the incandescent screw-in bulb, the curve of the Bulled bulbs allows the light to disperse at 330 degrees. With an expected lifespan of 80,000 hours, the bulb can last 80 years with conventional use.
