Fernando Brizio: Furo

Portuguese designer Fernando Brizio has worked with cork manufacturer Amorim to design vessels that incorporate colouring pencils. The collection, called Materia, was curated by ExperimentaDesign and shown at Milan 2011.

One of the objects is Furo, a pot with colouring pencil legs that allow it to be used as an unconventional drawing device. Adding a playful element to the tabletop object, Brizio’s designs aim to bring the object and the flat surface on which it rests to life.
