Varia Tableware by Gaia Bottari

A new range of modular tableware by Milanese designer Gaia Bottari features simple shapes and solid materials reminiscent of the pared-down aesthetic described in Stylus’ Interiors Autumn/Winter 2014-15 Industry Trend, Composed.

Inspired by stacking toys, the Varia collection’s multiple components fit together in various ways, enabling user adaption. The beautifully crafted pieces feature an unusual combination of materials including wood, cork, plastic and marble.

Marble was a key material in Milan this year, and was frequently seen on smaller tabletop items and home accessories. For more examples, see theMaterials report from Stylus coverage of Milan 2013.
