At IMM Cologne 2018, international furniture brands balanced saturated accents with comforting neutrals to create statement products that carried appeal across a restrained high-end market. Subdued colour in organic, earthy tones bestowed a calming energy, while soft-touch materials such as velvet and fur elevated and updated existing furniture favourites. A crafty woven aesthetic, in both construction and pattern, also emerged to honour historical production and context.
