Emily Seul Ki Uhm: Graduate Collection

Having just completed her Masters in Fashion at the London College of Fashion, Korean designer Emily Seulki Uhm presented a compelling graduate collection of clothing at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London earlier this year.

Called Visual Illusion Through Textile, Uhm uses contrasting coloured lines or spots to suggest contours of the body. Bright vivid colours heighten this optical illusion. Adding to this visual play, Uhm uses transparent and vivid coloured fabrics cut and layered to create graphic-shaped garments.
