Structend Light Shows Illuminated Colour

Inspired by tent structures, Portuguese designer Cláudio Cigarro’s Structend Light is composed of a nylon covering that is stretched around a faceted frame. As the fabric is stretched, the colour intensity of the exterior changes, creating an object in which colour is dictated by form.

The fabric cover is easily removable as it is fixed in place with a drawstring, allowing owners to remove it for cleaning and to exchange it for an alternative coloured cover.
