Estée Lauder Mad Men Collection


Global beauty brand Estée Lauder has launched a limited edition Mad Men colour collection for Spring 2012 with a retro ad campaign to reflect the 1960s theme of the TV show.

Consisting of a lipstick and crème rouge, it has been launched in conjunction with the AMC television series to promote its fifth season, which begins on March 25 in the US. Both the lipstick and crème rouge come in vintage-inspired gold, textured packaging with floral outer boxes, reflective of the show’s ultra-feminine characters.

The ad campaign features French model and Betty Draper lookalike Constance Jablonski with retro waves, demurely applying the red lipstick. Its tag line – ‘Shake. Stir. Seduce.’ – alludes to the glamorous, and sometimes scandalous nature of the TV show, set in a 1960s advertising agency in New York.

The Estée Lauder Mad Men limited edition lipstick in Cherry retails at $25 (£15), with the limited edition crème rouge in Evening Rose retailing for $40 (£25). Both are available to buy now from Estée Lauder’s online store.
