The City Dark at SXSW

Stylus is looking forward to seeing The City Dark, a film by director Ian Cheney that has been entered into the documentary competition at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas.

Chronicling the disappearance of darkness, the film takes viewers on a journey to America’s brightest and darkest corners, with astronomers, ecologists, philosophers and cancer researchers providing commentary on what we as humans lose out on in the glare of urban city lights. Really fascinating.
