Casa Electrolux

Paolo, Brazil, was where Swedish electronics company Electrolux first started manufacturing vacuum cleaners and floor polishers in 1950 – making it a fitting destination for its first ever flagship store. The new retail space is located in the Jardins district of the city, in a remodelled ancient mansion owned by the country’s national heritage trust.

Electrolux has completely transformed the building into a sleek glass box that, when lit from the inside, appears to glow like a lantern. The store is spread over two floors with the ground floor acting as a product showroom, while the upper is reserved for guest meetings and entertainment.

The expectation is that architects and interior designers will visit the space regularly to discover the newest releases.
