Ambiente: Paolozzi by Royal Doulton

Having undergone a recent facelift, British tableware company Royal Doulton has cast aside its usual traditional designs for art-inspired patterns. One bold new addition to the range is inspired by the geometric collages of late Scottish sculptor and artist Sir Eduardo Paolozzi.

Spotted at the Ambiente tabletop and accessories show yesterday in Frankfurt, the striking, collage-like geometric and repetitive prints introduced vibrant pop-art colours and shapes to the new collection of plates, cups and saucers. Stylus particularly admired the additional attention to detail with the range’s accompanying Paolozzi-style packaging.

Ambiente ends today. Watch out for further Stylus coverage of the event, coming soon.
