Louise Gray for Topshop Make-Up

British fashion designer Louise Gray is to collaborate with high-street giant Topshop on a make-up range that will be available in-store in August 2012.

The Scottish designer’s love of colour will be reflected in the products, with the likes of glitter pots and fluoro eye colours all slated for release. In addition to the beauty collaboration, Gray will also be designing a range of clothes for Topshop, with her signature use of colour and texture set to be the focal point of the aesthetic.

The project is the first designer collaboration for the Topshop Make-Up collection, which debuted in 2010. Gray is a natural choice for the retailer as the brand has sponsored her catwalk show for several seasons as the main sponsor of Newgen, the British Fashion Council’s platform for emerging designers.

Gray’s colourful runway make-up looks relate strongly to the current playful, experimental direction in beauty, demonstrated in Stylus’ Hide & Seek concept for Autumn/Winter 2012-13.
