Nobu to Open Hotel

Famed international sushi chain Nobu is to open The Nobu Hotel, Restaurant and Lounge at the Caesars Palace resort in Las Vegas.

The two companies have partnered to convert the Centurion Tower into a 180-room hotel – including 16 suites – featuring natural materials and signature Japanese design principles.

The centrepiece will be an 883 sq m Nobu Restaurant and Lounge at the base of the tower. Rooms will also include signature sake and a hot water dispenser for green tea. The project is backed by American actor Robert de Niro.

However, the luxury hotel market apparently has not recovered sufficiently enough for celebrity chef Charlie Palmer to build his downtown 61-acre hotel in Las Vegas. The build of his Symphony Park has been postponed for two years, which could be extended to four years.
