Harvey Nichols x Neil Kerber

London department store Harvey Nichols has booked a different sort of supermodel for its Autumn 2012 look book – cartoon creation Polly Bean by Neil Kerber.
Bean is one of the characters created by Kerber for the comic strip Supermodels, published in the British satirical weekly magazine Private Eye. She has been dressed in designer fashion by the likes of Isabel Marant, Meadham Kirchoff and Victoria Beckham for Harvey Nichol’s Autumn 2012 look book. Along with the witty drawings, Kerber has penned rhyming tongue-in-cheek poems to accompany the illustrations.
The casting of the cartoon character is the latest lighthearted approach to advertising and publicity for the British retailer. Coupled with last year’s much-talked-about ‘Walk of Shame’ party dress TV commercial for the festive period, Harvey Nichols is quickly gaining a reputation for having fun with fashion.
