Pantone Colour of the Year 2016

Street art by Pantone and LA-based artist Man One

For the first time, global colour system manufacturer Pantone has announced two colours as its forecast Colour of the Year for 2016.

Two soft pastel shades of pink Rose Quartz (TPX 13-1520) and cool blue Serenity (TPX 15-3919) have been chosen to reflect society's increasing acceptance of gender equality and fluidity. The harmonious colour pairing also represents wellness and tranquillity – a key theme that resonates with our Serenity and Darklight colour rationales.

Rose Quartz and Serenity replace Marsala, an earthen reddish-brown hue, which was colour of the year for 2015. For more exciting projects and themes set to influence the colour landscape for 2016, see our Colour Spectrum concepts for S/S 16 and A/W 16-17.
