Bloomberg’s Luxury Lifestyle Magazine

This February, American financial trading service Bloomberg will launch Bloomberg Pursuits, its new luxury lifestyle magazine – giving a voice and identity to its affluent subscribers.

Subscribers to Bloomberg’s Professional service will be sent a complimentary copy of the magazine, which will provide a new opportunity for luxury advertisers to target this demographic. The average income of a Bloomberg user is $452,000 (£286,000), and 90% are male. The magazine will also have an international distribution, as 60% of subscribers reside outside the US in financial centres across the world.

Bloomberg Pursuits aims to differentiate itself from other business-oriented lifestyle titles by casting a spotlight on its readership. The first issue features stories about one reader’s passion for improving Ferrari sports cars, and suits modelled by Bloomberg subscribers.

The publication will have an initial circulation of 375,000 copies, with some copies sent to non-subscribers and available to buy across newsstands. The debut issue has already attracted advertising from luxury brands such as Hermès, Chanel, Zegna, and Rolls-Royce. A second issue will be released in the fourth quarter of 2012, with the magazine scheduled to go quarterly in 2013.
