Another highlight from the PSFK conference, Matt Jones of Berg London spoke about the experimental project Dimensions by the BBC. The overall aim of the project is to develop a new tool for communicating history through digital media.

Through a series of google maps, Dimensions brings home the relative human scale of key moments in history; it then overlays these onto your own familer surroundings.

Dimensions can also be translated offline into (depending on the scale) walks, so users can gain a “physical appreciation of the distances involved.”
