Nicos Livesey Animates Colour

London-based creative Nicos Livesey has used plasticine to produce several animations that depict swirling patterns.

Using a technique known as strata-cut animation – whereby images are produced using compacted clay, which is then sliced and photographed to produce individual frames of the animation – Livesey’s Train Logger and Rating Gorleg are kaleidoscopic celebrations of colour.

Both videos can be viewed in full via Livesey’s Vimeo channel.
