Mugler - Paris Fashion Week A/W 2011-12

Nicola Formichetti's Mugler womenswear debut starred chum Lady Gaga strutting to her brand new single Born This Way. Striking animalistic poses, Gaga smoked her way down the catwalk in a futuristic black bodycon number for full-throttle fashion entertainment.

True to Thierry Mugler's style, Formichetti transformed his models into futuristic otherworldly creatures, dressed head-to-toe in black, white and electric blue.

Mugler's signature padded shoulders and a patent leather trench injected a retro helping of 1980s glamour, while moulded bras and bondage-like cut-outs created a vamped-up gothic feel.

Described as "post-human" in notes, the show offered playfully dark theatre ripe for Gaga- and Mugler-lovers alike.
