Alchemist's Touch

Art and fashion make perfect bedfellows; the art crowd is always dressed (and accessorised) luxuriously. Miami-based boutique Alchemist is harnessing this connection with Pop-N-Shop – a temporary store selling the work of jewellery designer Luis Morais during the Art Basel Miami Beach international art fair.

Approaching retail displays in a similar manner to the curation of exhibitions and selling Morais’ artistic jewellery, the Pop-N-Shop will be well suited to the cultural setting of Art Basel.

Alchemist’s second store, which opened earlier this year in Herzog & de Meuron’s 1111 Lincoln Road in South Beach, sells a carefully curated selection of designer collections. Store owners Roma and Erika Cohen choose just one brand or theme per year and create the interior around that, working with renowned designers for furniture or installations.
