Munich's Shoe Factory

Architects Bailo + Rull ADD + Arquitectura have devised a fresh way of displaying shoes in a retail environment. Exploring the inquisitive nature of children – keen to discover how things work – as inspiration, the company designed a conveyor belt system for shoe brand Munich’s store in La Roca Shopping Complex, Barcelona.

The conveyor belt zigzags around the store adding movement and theatre to the space, and plays on the idea of products being ‘freshly baked’ in a factory setting. The store has reflective walls adding extra depth and peepholes that allow customers to look behind-the-scenes.
