Eindhoven 2011: Freeze a Fleeting Moment

Freeze a Fleeting Moment, presented by Bachelors graduate Monique Habraken, slows down the image-making process. In response to a world dominated by digital photography, Habraken scales up the pinhole camera technique to encompass an entire room and its contents. Using a window as the light source, with a tiny pinhole, Habraken paints objects in the room using light-sensitive emulsion before letting the scene develop into a ghostly impression of both the room's interior and exterior landscape.
