Rudolf Stingel at Palazzo Grassi

On show as part of the Venice Art Biennale, New York-based artist Rudolf Stingel has covered the atrium and upper floors of the prestigious museum Palazzo Grassi with a digitised kilim rug print. This digital update on a traditional textile pattern is in keeping with the aesthetic described in Re-work, Stylus Interiors’ A/W 14-15 industry trend.

The site-specific installation covers more than 5,000 square metres of wall and floor space, and provides a backdrop for over 30 Stingel paintings on loan from the artist and his patron, French businessmen Francois Pinault.

The exhibition will be on show at Palazzo Grassi until December 31 2013.
