Mother of Pearl Pop-Up

London gallery and art store Other Criteria, well-known for its maverick re-contextualisation of high-end art (the store sells a number of mass-produced works by established artists at a fraction of the price), has stretched its remit beyond the art scene with a pop-up shop for recently re-launched fashion label, Mother of Pearl.

Showcasing the label’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection, art still plays a key role via the additional display of a series of works by artist Jim Lambie, whose prints also appear on a selection of garments.

The transient show, based in Other Criteria's New Bond Street location, follows a previous pop-up by Mother of Pearl – owned by Maia Norman, wife of artist Damien Hirst – at East London’s trendsetting boutique Start last month.
