Urban Camping


Antwerp-based design firm Import Export Architecture (IEA) is targeting city explorers with a five-tiered urban camping ground installation. With 'staycations' and domestic travel in mind, IEA has conceptualised an inexpensive pop-up alternative to pricey metropolitan accommodation.

Still in construction-phase, IEA envisage major cities around the world installing the structure in sites around city centres. In a challenging economic environment,  low-cost and style-savvy accommodation has popped up around the world with the recent launch of DesignLAB's Lub D in Bangkok being a notable example.
