Container by Benjamin Hubert

British designer Benjamin Hubert has collaborated with French brand Ligne Roset to create Container, a ceramic table lamp.

As with his previous work, Hubert has taken a materials and process-driven approach to this design. The lamp is formed from two cast ceramic components that are held together by an injection-moulded silicon band. This construction eliminates the need for screws or glue.

The simple shape reflects the materials used while a glazed interior creates a soft lighting effect. The lamp itself is neutral in colour and the silicon band and wire add a visual highlight.

Container will be officially launched at Imm Cologne in Germany and Maison et Objet in Paris later this month. Look out for more Stylus coverage of interior design trade show Maison et Objet, coming soon.
