Prada’s Candy L’Eau Short Film

Italian fashion and luxury giant Prada has teamed up with American directors Roman Coppola and Wes Anderson for its latest short film to celebrate the release of its new fragrance, Candy L’eau.

Trailers and snippets have been released gradually over the past week, with the final full-length film released yesterday. Running at three-and-a-half minutes long, the film stars French actress Lea Seydoux as the eponymous Candy who can’t, or won’t, choose between the two friends that have fallen for her ingénue charm. Shot entirely in a whimsical vision of Paris, Moonrise Kingdom director Anderson puts his signature offbeat aesthetic to the visual depiction of the age-old phrase ‘three’s a crowd’.

The fragrance itself is a lighter version of Prada’s Candy scent, with an injection of subtle citrus to offset the sweeter notes. The fragrance launches today in the UK and is available exclusively at Selfridges in London until the end of April 2013.
