Bask by Sebastian Herkner

Inspired by a trip to a paper yarn company in Spain, German designer Sebastian Herkner’s Bask is a collection of baskets and bowls made from paper yarn woven in and around a steel frame.

Collaborating with a basket maker in Bavaria, Germany and the paper manufacturer, Herkner developed a special paper and technique so that he could use the yarns in three-dimensional objects. Designed for use as storage, the Bask collection can also be used as small side tables when turned upside down.
