London’s fashion and lifestyle concept stores Darkroom and Other/Shop have paired up for a black and white themed pop-up shop called Monochrome. The Soho-based space presents products curated from both of the independent stores’ own lines, including textiles, ceramics, jewellery and fashion.
In keeping with the monochromatic theme, London-based bookseller November Books offers a black and white collection featuring photography and fashion titles from its online store, while London’s Black Isle Bakery hosts a tearoom. Pieces from Peter Jensen, T&F and Amie Howarth are also available.
UK-based creative organisation Patternity held a similar monochromatic themed event called Pattern Power – Superstripe, which explored the pervasive use of one of the most ubiquitous graphic patterns – the stripe.
The event is one of many unique shopping installations being held in the run up to Christmas. Look out for our Holiday Pop-Ups report focusing on experimental retail formats for the festive season, publishing next Tuesday (December 17).
Monochrome runs until January 14 2014.
